Vienna International Airport, VIE is the international airport of Vienna, the capital of Austria
It is Austria’s largest airport and serves as the hub for Austrian Airlines and
Eurowings Europe as well as a base for low-cost carriers easyJet Europe, Laudamotion, Level and Wizz Air. It is capable of handling wide-body aircraft up to the Airbus A380. The airport features a dense network of European destinations as well as long-haul flights to Asia, North America and Africa.
In 2017, the airport handled 24.4 million passengers, a 4.5% increase compared to 2016. The number of passengers has kept on increasing, and the estimates for 2018 are 28 million passengers.
To cope with this, they had to reorganized all of the 45 security lanes. They removed the manually operated tray return systems, and installed the WT-11S dispenser trolleys, and the
CQRT TRAY® ST-15 ECAC approved Antimicrobial security trays.
